Scenario Builder for Waikato Rivers

You can use the Scenario Builder for Waikato Rivers WebApp to:

• visualise the current state of water quality (nitrogen and phosphorus concentrations and estimated periphyton biomass) at 119 monitoring sites in the Waikato region.
• predict the “reference” water quality conditions at the site
• see the composition of land use in the catchment and the estimated relative contribution of different land uses in the catchment to contaminant loads
• model catchment management scenarios of land mitigation or land use change (or combinations of both) to predict how reducing contaminant losses from existing land use and/or changing land use within the catchment will affect the water quality in the river.
